These Terms govern your access to and use of Docmint, including its academic publication workflows, document management system, and institutional collaboration features.
By accessing or using Docmint (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Docmint is a multi-organisation academic platform for managing documents, research workflows, and publications. The Service includes document storage, collections, plagiarism and format assessment, search, publication lifecycle management (submission, review, approval, publishing), organisation management, internal and public catalogs, researcher profiles, bookmarks, and collaboration features such as comments and reviews. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and may evolve over time.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. Institutional accounts must be registered and managed by an authorised representative. By using the Service, you represent that all provided information is accurate and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited actions include uploading malicious content, attempting to reverse-engineer or disrupt the platform, submitting fraudulent or plagiarised work knowingly, violating intellectual property rights, or bypassing security or usage restrictions. We reserve the right to take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of access.
You retain full ownership of all content you upload, including documents, publications, and metadata. By using the Service, you grant Docmint a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service (including review, publication, search, and collaboration features). Docmint retains all rights to its software, platform, and underlying technology.
Docmint facilitates academic workflows but does not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or academic validity of any content. Responsibility for citations, academic integrity, and compliance with institutional or journal standards remains with users and their affiliated institutions. Publication decisions are system-assisted but ultimately controlled by authorised users or administrators.
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. We implement security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and role-based access control. Documents are processed in secure environments and are not retained longer than necessary for service delivery or institutional configuration.
When using Docmint under an organisation, the institution may define roles, permissions, workflows, and visibility rules. The institution acts as the primary administrator of users and academic workflows within its domain. Docmint acts as a service provider facilitating these operations.
Some features may require a paid subscription. Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis unless otherwise stated. Payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to modify pricing with prior notice. Failure to pay may result in restricted or suspended access.
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or absolute accuracy of automated checks such as plagiarism detection or formatting validation. Outputs are informational and should not be treated as legal or academic certification.
To the maximum extent permitted under the laws of Nepal, Docmint shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue, academic standing, or reputation arising from use of the Service.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Nepal. Any disputes arising from or relating to the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Nepal.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
